A registered nurse with more than sixteen years of experience in various areas of healthcare, O'Connor previously served as Chief Information Officer for United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, New York, where he worked with all areas of the medical center to define and recommend a strategic direction for its technology and information systems and align related initiatives to its goals. Before joining United Memorial Medical Center, O'Connor spent over ten years in clinical informatics with positions ranging from clinical analyst to chief information officer.

O'Connor attended Alfred University in New York, where he received a bachelor of science in both management and marketing. He received his associate degree in nursing from the State University of New York at Alfred and his master of business administration in finance and organization management from the University of Rochester, also in New York.
