Sprinturf has broken ground on another field at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis. Following the installation of both indoor putting greens and the Rip Miller Field in 2007, Sprinturf was selected earlier this month to install another field on campus. This time, the field is located at the Hooper Brigade Sports Complex and will be the home field for USNA's rugby teams.

We are installing our third field and the players, coaches, and support staff have found the product to be durable, esthetically impressive, very "playable", and low to no maintenance.

Crews at Sprinturf have broken ground on another field at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis. Following the installation of both indoor putting greens and the Rip Miller Field in 2007, Sprinturf was selected earlier this month to install another field on campus. "We are very excited to be partnering with the Naval Academy Athletic Association on their second Sprinturf field," commented Sprinturf president and CEO, Stanley H. Greene. "We were confident that given our shared values, and the solid performance of our first field, we would prevail in winning the project over a select group of competitors. This is a very proud day for the Sprinturf team."

In addition to two fields on the Annapolis campus, in January of this year, Sprinturf was also awarded the contract by James Construction to replace an existing surface on Nimitz Field at the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) located on Naval Station Newport in historic Newport, Rhode Island. The Naval Academy Preparatory School is a one-year post-secondary school that prepares selected candidates for officer accession through the U.S. Naval Academy.

"We have been especially pleased with every aspect of our business relationship with Sprinturf and their representatives. We are installing our third field and the players, coaches, and support staff have found the product to be durable, esthetically impressive, very "playable", and low to no maintenance. A fine product, a solid and reputable company, and a happy athletic program at Navy," shared Chet Gladchuk, Director of Athletics for the United States Naval Academy.

The new field is scheduled for completion in September.
