Michael Jackson phenomenon, Elijah “Lil Elijah J" Johnson, was selected out of 8,000 children across the country for the role of Young Simba in Disney’s wildly successful North American tour of The Lion King; which rapped up on July 11, 2010. He was also praised by Robin Leach and others for his performance at the Michael Jackson tribute in Las Vegas in the summer of 2009. Now Elijah (“Lil Elijah J”) Johnson continues to display his many talents with the release of his new single and video “Let Me Do My Thang” which in a month tallied more than 130,000 hits on You Tube.
Elijah isn’t just another young kid looking for his next gig. He wants it all. “I just really enjoy performing and have since I was a little kid.” Currently, Lil Elijah J is in talks for a television show, has an upcoming album in the works and has been invited to star in The Lion King in New York. This would make him the first young Simba star to play in Las Vegas and New York. In addition to his performances, Lil Elijah speaks around the country to youth about his journey and the prevention of childhood obesity; and reads to children through the Reach Out and Read Program.

Elijah “Lil ElijahJ” Johnson (Detroit, Mi.) is a twelve year old phenomenal triple threat talent who most recently starred in the Disney Broadway musical, “The Lion King as Young Simba” US National Tour. Elijah was re-signed by Disney after starring in the new Las Vegas production of the Lion King in ’09 and has been invited to star in The Lion King on Broadway. Elijah was inspired by his entertainment idol, Michael Jackson to sing & dance when he was introduced to his music & videos at an early age by his father.
