MBX Systems, a leading provider of server appliances, dedicated computing and storage solutions for application developers and OEMs worldwide, today announced record revenue growth in the first of half 2010. Improvements were also gained across the board based on the Company’s key performance indicators:

  • Revenues from new design wins: 30% of overall revenues resulted from 2009 competitive wins
  • New prototypes: Increased prototypes built for run-rate customers by 42% over the prior six-month period
  • Key-customer growth: revenue increased by 22% across Top 25 customers
  • Customer retention: retention rate of 96% for Top 25 customers
  • Close ratio: Win percentage increased by over 50% in competitive situations

According to Chris Schmidt, MBX Systems Director of Sales and Marketing, “There are many reasons for our revenue growth, but most competitive wins fall squarely on our ability to develop the type of platforms and services that enable MBX to extend our reach into key vertical and international markets. More and more, MBX is becoming application developers’ first choice for configuring robust platforms and providing turnkey services that simplify their application deployment.”

MBX has had positive growth throughout the recent economic downturn in 2009 and concurrently executed a plan to support future growth:

  • Completed a facility addition that tripled manufacturing capacity
  • Built a new domestic distribution/logistics warehouse
  • Expanded services internationally to allow same day delivery of systems staged across the globe
  • Introduced shipping until midnight on the last day of each month to enable customers to meet revenue recognition requirements
  • Introduced high-end platforms targeted to streamline configurations for embedded systems and high performance computing (HPC)
  • Completed recertification to ISO 9001:2008 quality standards
