As part of the continued expansion of its Asian headquarters, Belmont Partners China (BPC) is pleased to announce the addition of five new staff members in our Shanghai office. Joseph Meuse, the Managing Director of Belmont Partners said, “Over the last year, while we maintained our leadership as a provider of high quality public vehicles to Chinese clients, we significantly expanded our merchant banking capability. We made direct investments in three Chinese companies that have recently become quoted in the U.S. (Qingdao Footwear, Buddha Steel and Longhai Steel). We are excited to welcome the new members of our Shanghai team as we continue to focus on our merchant banking capabilities and embrace the exciting opportunities ahead.”
Julia Dellaccio, Senior Associate, Investment and Business Development, is joining the BPC team and will be resident in our Shanghai office. Ms. Dellaccio joins us from Belmont Partners’ U.S. office where she served as head of acquisitions. Ms. Dellaccio has a wealth of experience in U.S. public markets. As Belmont’s head of acquisitions she was directly responsible for initiating, managing and closing the acquisition of over 45 public companies, spanning all OTC market tiers. She has substantial experience conducting due diligence, negotiating transaction terms, drafting and managing SEC disclosure and information statements, communicating with all U.S. regulatory bodies, PCAOB auditors, and market makers. Ms. Dellaccio graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University.
Wei Wei, Senior Associate, Investment and Business Development. We are pleased to announce that Ms. Wei will remain with BPC as a Senior Associate. Ms. Wei first joined BPC in 2009 and played a critical role in our investments in Qingdao, Buddha and Longhai. She has substantial experience working with private Chinese companies as they prepare to enter the public marketplace. Her experience includes working with and coordinating pre-audit accounting firms, PRC and U.S. legal counsel, as well as PCAOB auditors both in the PRC and the U.S. She has extensive knowledge of the Chinese and U.S. capital markets and has a wealth of experience conducting due diligence on Chinese companies.
Yinyin “Julie” Zhu, Associate, Financial Analysis, will split her time between our Shanghai and U.S. offices. Ms. Zhu specializes in conducting due diligence, valuation and financial analysis. Since joining Belmont in 2009, Ms. Zhu has assisted in the facilitation of over 10 public listings and has provided financial and structural analysis crucial to several proprietary acquisitions. She has extensive knowledge of the Chinese and U.S. capital markets, transaction structuring and regulatory issues. Ms. Zhu earned a B.A. with Honors in Finance from the City University of Hong Kong, and holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Rochester. She is fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese.
Ranbo Chen, Associate, Investment and Business Development, is joining the BPC team and will be resident in our Shanghai office. Prior to joining BPC, Mr. Chen was a financial consultant at Evalueserve, a global consulting firm in Shanghai. During his work there, Mr. Chen conducted extensive equity research on the Asian computer hardware industry, and advised clients on stock valuation models, industry data, market trend forecasting and prepared industry reports. Mr. Chen holds a B.A. in Finance from the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade and holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Rochester. He is fluent in both Mandarin and English. Mr. Chen is a CFA Level 3 candidate in 2010.
Zhe “GiGi” Gao, Office Administrator, is joining the BPC team and will be resident in our Shanghai office. Ms. Gao will be responsible for intra-office coordination, scheduling, and day-to-day office management.
Belmont Partners has provided public vehicles for over 25 Chinese companies including China Green Agriculture, Inc. which is now listed on the NYSE and China XD Plastics Co., Ltd. and China Valves Technology, Inc. which are both now listed on the NASDAQ. We have recently expanded our merchant banking capability, with direct investments in 3 recently listed companies (Qingdao Footwear, Buddha Steel and Longhai Steel). In addition, Managing Director Joseph Meuse was named as the CFO for Qingdao as it prepares for a NASDAQ listing.
