Greenbelt, MD (PRWEB) July 26, 2010
TRX Systems announced today the appointment of Carol Politi as Chief Executive Officer of the company. TRX develops the first personnel location and tracking products that deliver the required precision to safeguard personnel in environments without reliable GPS, including inside buildings, underground, and in dense urban areas. Dr. Carole Teolis has been named Chief Technology Officer of the company and Chairman of its Board of Directors.
Former Senior Vice President of kajeet®, the cell phone service delivering sophisticated online service controls, Politi brings more than 20 years of experience in developing, managing, and marketing wireless services and portable devices to TRX. She will use those skills to bring TRX Systems’ cutting edge technology to people who often work without an adequate safety net, including firefighters, military, law enforcement, maritime, and mining personnel.
“TRX’s sophisticated GPS-denied navigation technology enables the people who protect us from the world’s biggest perils and who work in harm’s way every day to keep themselves safe,” says Politi. “It is our privilege to get this technology into their hands.”
At kajeet, Politi was responsible for the initial product definition and held P&L responsibility for mobile voice, data, messaging and content services. Prior to kajeet, Politi co-founded, served as Vice President of Marketing, and was a member of the Board of Directors for telecommunications software developer Megisto Systems. Prior to Megisto, she was Vice President of Product Management at Ericsson, where she managed internal product development and third-party vendor relationships for the company's mobile data infrastructure products.
