We built the system to be secure, private, effective, and affordable.
Nashville, Tennessee (PRWEB) July 27, 2010
Patients Mutual, Inc., announces the launch of it’s web-based electronic health record( EHR) platform.) All a physician needs is a computer to access the internet to use the cloud based service. According to William Bridges, CTO,” Our secure platform is a role based, permission model whereby physicians can create and manage a patients health care records, as well transmitting electronic prescriptions. The company has entered into a partnership with Wixom, MI based H2H Solutions, Inc. for use of the electronic prescribing network SureScripts.”
Physicians can also share a patients’ records with any other physicians treating a patient who also uses the system; once the patient has a release form on file with their primary physician and gives permission through the platform ,” said Bridges. The platform allows for coded procedures, free text notes, BMI, integration of lab results, as well as all digital images and x-rays; with image enhancement viewing tools. Patients can view their own records from the privacy of their home or office once the doctor provides the patient a special code to access the system. A video conferencing feature is available for physician collaboration and patient consultation when circumstances dictate. Patients can also communicate using a text based messaging tool.
In recent news, the Obama administration announced a push to have electronic health records in place nationwide in just five years and physicians can take advantage of financial incentives for early adoption. Many experts in the healthcare industry are convinced electronic health records will result in lowering cost while delivering a higher quality of care.
Jonah Gayle, V.P. Marketing states , ”What we initially envisioned as a platform just for Tennessee based physicians and patients, we now view differently. Our platform has the capacity to handle hundreds of thousands of doctors and their patients across the U.S.” Bridges also states,” We built the system to be secure, private, effective, and affordable.”
