As ebook sales increase, novel about acting on a dream and competing in the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii continues to grace the Top 10.

“This book will inspire and entertain you.” says Karen Smyers, Ironman World Champion. “It may also encourage you to examine your own life and give you the courage to pursue your passion.”

On July 21st, Know Regrets slipped into the number 1 ranking on Amazon.com’s Bestsellers list for the Kindle. It has been in the top 10 Kindle ebook rankings for a several months. Know Regrets took over a year to reach the top spot in the Individual Sports category. Reaching the number one spot coincides with Amazon’s announcement that Kindle ebook sales have exceeded hardcover sales. “Know Regrets has still sold more in hardcover.” says Durant. “The pace of Kindle sales has increased recently though. I’m not sure if it’s due to increased Kindle device sales, Amazon’s Kindle integration with the iPhone and IPad, or just great word of mouth.” Whether you have the hardcopy or the Kindle version, Know Regrets is a great summer read.

Know Regrets is the story of Trip Johnson, who reignites his long-buried dream of racing in the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona. Trip has a chance to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles amongst the best triathletes in the world. In order to reach his goal, he will draw upon more than physical strength, endurance and determination. His journey spans from the comfortable suburbs of Boston, to the wild nightlife of Waikiki, over to the forbidding lava fields on the Big Island of Hawaii. If you liked Rocky, The Rookie or American Flyers you will love this story.

It took Durant 20 years to think about Know Regrets; 3 years to write it and now over 18 months to reach the top 10…finally sneaking into the top spot. Like triathlons, the book business can be an endurance sport as well. “This book will inspire and entertain you.” says Karen Smyers, Ironman World Champion. “It may also encourage you to examine your own life and give you the courage to pursue your passion.”

Some of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
