While buyers and sellers have always been able to make contact through the site, instant message discussions were previously not possible. Mr He said "IM is now widely recognized as superior to email in many respects, with one recent study from Taiwan suggesting that it facilitates better business relationships. We want those same advantages for our China wholesale buyers."
The DHtalk option has been especially popular with buyers, who often form relationships with a few sellers who suit their trading style.
