Kerusso Has Donated Over $360,000 to Compassion -- Announces Winner of The Live for Him Mission Trip

We are still pressing on towards our goal of raising $500,000 with the continued partnership of retailers and Christians worldwide.

An estimated 300 million children worldwide are subjected to violence, hunger, and human trafficking. Compassion successfully tackles global poverty one child at a time, serving more than 1 million children in twenty-five of the world's poorest countries. Since 2005 Kerusso – http://www.kerusso.com – has partnered with Compassion – http://www.compassion.com – to raise money through the Live For Him campaign – http://www.kerusso.com/liveforhim. To date, Kerusso has donated over $360,000.

In May of 2009, Kerusso issued a challenge to retailers to support Compassion’s Unsponsored Children’s fund through the sales of Live For Him products which include: the award-winning Live For Him red wristband, T-shirts, caps and stainless steel rings. With the opportunity to win a mission trip with Kerusso and Compassion, retailers around the country rose to the challenge.

Calvary Church Bookstore in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida won the missions trip by selling the most Live For Him product over the past twelve months. David Ogden (Music/Apparel/Gift Buyer) and Mark Richter (Resource Ministry Manager) from Calvary will join Vic Kennett (CEO/President-Kerusso) and Compassion to visit a work site in the Dominican Republic.

David Ogden stated, “The heart of Calvary is to reach our community and world for Christ.” He went on to say, “Kerusso products, including the Live For Him products, have been a great way for us to extend our reach into our world, and we are extremely excited and honored to have won the Compassion/Live For Him contest.”
Vic Kennett said, “We are grateful for the thousands of retailers like Calvary who have joined with us to raise money for the thousands of children Compassion reaches every day.” He went on to say, “We are still pressing on towards our goal of raising $500,000 with the continued partnership of retailers and Christians worldwide.”
