We're excited for the Latino fan community to be able to engage our reporters and comment on our exclusive player interviews
Vienna, VA (PRWEB) July 28, 2010
The Spanish Béisbol Network (SBN) today launched an enhanced Spanish-language baseball news site, http://www.beisbol.net, to deliver compelling content from Major League Baseball and Latin American baseball leagues in an interactive format. The site will offer Latino fans news, scores, standings, schedules, exclusive video/audio and articles featuring the prominent Latino ballplayers, such as the exclusive interview conducted this past weekend with Colorado Rockies ace, Ubaldo Jimenez, about his childhood idol, All-Star experience and reflections on his April no-hitter.
The new website enables fans to download beisbol.net as an RSS feed or check out the newest postings on SBN’s Facebook page, BeisbolNet, and tweets from @beisbolsbn. Fans gain a unique perspective on Latino baseball players by interacting with SBN’s staff, while sharing their points-of-view on various stories through comments and blogs.
“We’re excited for the Latino fan community to be able to engage our reporters and comment on our exclusive player interviews,” stated Sara Loarte, COO and Senior Vice President of Celeritas Management, who is serving as the interim general manager for SBN. “Hispanics are avid baseball fans who are passionate about the game, their teams, and the players. Beisbol.net will provide comprehensive baseball information and will serve as a unique platform for Latino players and their fans to express their points of view.”
Last month, a Spanish Béisbol Network reporter held an exclusive interview with Manny Ramirez which appeared on USATODAY.com and is posted on beisbol.net. During the discussion, Ramirez offered for the first time that he misbehaved at the end of his tenure with the Boston Red Sox, while sharing personal thoughts on retirement and God. Beisbol.net will continue to offer such original articles and interviews while inviting fans to participate with well-known Hispanic baseball experts and SBN broadcasters including Amaury Pi-Gonzàlez, Manolo Hernàndez-Douen, Danny Martinez, Angel Castillo, and others.
“While we will feature baseball news from around the League, fans will discover entertaining personal interest stories about their favorite Hispanic players, past and present,” said Bill Kulik, SBN President. “We are excited to launch the new, user friendly site design with exclusive interviews with Latino MLB Stars, while inviting fans to participate in weekly opinion polls or comment on the stories and blogs."
