Plummelo helps users better plan homemade meals while de-cluttering their homes
Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) July 28, 2010
Plummelo.com announced today the release of an early beta website that allows users to collect recipes, plan meals, and develop automatic shopping lists. Launched with a limited free feature set, users can aggregate recipes from more than 40 top recipe sites, enter their own personal recipes, and generate shopping lists based on the recipes they want to cook.
Plummelo is the brainchild of founder and CEO Paul Jin. Living in a household with three children and two working adults, Jin and his wife rarely had time to plan weekly meals, resulting in last-minute cooking decisions or ordering take-out. Looking for a way to streamline the food decision-making process, Jin began work on Plummelo.
“Plummelo is unique because it creates a central, online recipe box for all of your recipes,” said Laura Troyani, vice president of marketing at Plummelo. She adds, “Using Plummelo means cooks no longer have to remember where they stored a particular recipe or dog-ear their favorite cookbooks.”
Jin comments, “In today’s busy world, we’re always looking to eat better and healthier, and stay organized. By automating recipe collection and shopping list generation, Plummelo helps users better plan homemade meals while de-cluttering their homes. “
The company plans to launch its live site in October 2010.
