Ephesoft eliminates separator pages with automatic document classification and separation.

Traditional intelligent document capture and mailroom automation just took another leap forward. Irvine, CA-based Ephesoft eliminates separator pages with their intelligent document capture and mail room automation solutions.

Companies scanning millions of incoming documents are spending valuable time and money creating and printing separator pages to distinguish between document types. “For example, banks and insurance companies handling large amounts of paperwork are spending millions of dollars on paper, ink, and labor prepping documents for scanning,” says Mr. Ike Kavas, Ephesoft CTO. “Ephesoft not only saves a company time and money—it contributes to a company’s green initiative by reducing paper and ink usage.”

Ephesoft has the ability to learn different document types based on their content. The system can learn hundreds of documents within minutes, using OCR or Layout Classification technologies, simplifying document classification and sorting. Labor-intensive data entry is also reduced, giving operators time to focus on exceptions.

Based on open source technology, Ephesoft offers physical document tracking and scanning, automatic classification, data extraction, and document delivery. Because it is developed in JAVA, Ephesoft runs on either Windows or Linux, and the customer can choose from several ingestion methods.

Ephesoft Community Edition is 100% open source and available for download now at no charge from http://www.ephesoft.com. The Enterprise Edition is open source with commercial support and enterprise extensions. All features can be viewed at http://www.ephesoft.com/downloads.
