PEO Leaves Benefits to Brokers and Discovers New Technology

Many professional employer organizations (PEOs) not only offer solutions for human resources (HR) and payroll, but also provide insurance and benefits as well. Aspen Resource Partners leaves the provision of insurance and benefits to brokers. Instead, the organization focuses on providing technologically advanced HR solutions to its clients. Aspen Resource Partners has developed numerous relationships with health brokers, which refer business to the organization and vise versa. “When our clients are looking for a health insurance plan, instead of competing with those health brokers, we put our clients in one of their plans. Additionally, we bring added value by creating a client portal that includes brokers’ plan options and links their sites,” explained McCurdy. “This, in turn, motivates the brokers to refer business to us.”

“The portal that each client has is not only a gateway to viewing and managing their benefits programs, but it’s also where they go to access the time and labor management application we’re now providing through SaaShr.com,” said McCurdy. “This level of integration is something our previous provider simply could not accomplish.”

“The partnership with SaaShr.com has enabled us to fill quite a few gaps that existed in the TLM application we previously offered,” stated McCurdy. “For instance, issues with handling daylight savings time, breaks and rounding rules are headaches of the past, as we were able to automate and streamline these processes through SaaShr.com’s application.”
