STOVE GUARD INTERNATIONAL LTD. (SGIL), a Saskatoon-based company which manufactures and markets the Stove Guard product line of kitchen fire safety devices has expanded their product line.

Acting on the feedback received from Home Care Workers, Occupational Therapists and Fire Prevention Experts, the company has produced the upgraded Stove Guard Guardian 2010 Model.

Aimed at lowering the danger of stove top fires, the product is designed to turn OFFthe stove when left unattended.

The Consumer Products Safety Commission estimate that over 47,000 residential fires a year are started on range tops causing injury to more than 2,400 with about 80 fatalities while causing $135 million in property damage."Those alarming statistics are primarily due to fires being started when someone leaves a stove top unattended. This has become the premise of this product." said Don Uhrich, President of Stove Guard International Ltd. He further added "such a need to decrease those numbers led to the development of the new Guardian 2010 model, a product which unites features from all three Stove Guard Models."

The company, which has established dealers across North America and also ships direct will utilize this distribution model for their new product line. For more information regarding the Guardian 2010 Series Model or other products, please contact.
