NexTech, the leader in Practice Management, EMR and Marketing software announces it has participated in the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology’s (CCHIT®) Dermatology Pilot Test , designed to gauge the testability of CCHIT’s 2011 certification criteria and test scripts and demonstrate the effectiveness of its process.
In addition to the Pilot Test , Christina Majeed, NexTech’s Vice President of New Products and Technologies was appointed as co-chair to the Dermatology Work Group in June 2009. CCHIT’s Dermatology Work Group is composed of a diverse group of healthcare stakeholders volunteering their time and experience to develop standards- based criteria and an inspection process for electronic health record technology used in Dermatology.
“We are pleased to have been selected by the Certification Commission to participate in the Dermatology pilot test as it is integral in refining the ideas of the test scripts, and vital in obtaining a real-time measure of the feasibility and acceptance of criteria in the marketplace. The Dermatology Work Group put a great deal of thought and ingenuity in mapping out the current criteria and test scripts. The pilot process helps to ensure we are meeting the needs of the community and truly aiding the mission for an interoperable, efficient, and Dermatology-specific electronic health record.” Christina M.
