The Association for the Accreditation of Human Protection Programs (AAHRPP) recently announced that Quorum Review IRB’s reaccreditation, achieved in 2009, has been extended from three years to five years. Quorum is now AAHRPP accredited until the year 2014.

AAHRPP accreditation indicates that the highest quality processes and procedures are in place to ensure that participants are protected during the clinical research process. Quorum was originally accredited by AAHRPP in 2006. In 2009, Quorum was granted reaccreditation. AAHRPP has updated its process by changing the reaccreditation timeline from three to five years for organizations renewing their accreditation. Under the new guidelines, Quorum Review IRB qualifies for the longest reaccreditation period of five years.

"Researchers, sponsors, CROs and institutions can rely on our accreditation by AAHRPP as confirmation that we have validated processes for overseeing human subject protection," said Cami Gearhart, CEO of Quorum Review, “and I am proud that Quorum has earned the longest accreditation period possible from AAHRPP.”
