Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) August 5, 2010
Padgett Communications, a leader in the audience response system industry, is pleased to announce that their audience response system technology was used at the 14th annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant.
The contest was held July 10, 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The company's audience response keypads were used by a panel of 20 celebrity judges to cast their votes for 100 contestants in categories ranging from evening gowns to swimsuits. This is the third consecutive year that Padgett Communications' technology was utilized by Hooters of America, Inc., a franchisor and operator of more than 450 Hooters' restaurants worldwide.
"We are glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant once again," says Erin Dye, Project Manager. "We are pleased that our technology allowed the judges to quickly and accurately tabulate contestants' scores."
The contest was broadcast live on Spike TV and LeAngela Davis, from a Columbus, Ohio Hooters' restaurant, was crowned the winner and awarded a $50,000 grand prize. Davis will represent the company as Miss Hooters International for one year.
Padgett Communications offers a variety of audience response products to allow for instant polling, responses and tabulations. Their products are also popular with businesses that host interactive corporate trainings, as well as with universities that want to bolster class participation.
