Woodstock, VA (PRWEB) August 6, 2010
Hundreds of Christians from all over the Shenandoah Valley are planning to walk, ride, and even stand along historic Route 11 and cheer for 65-year-old Pastor Jay Ahlemann as he passes through his home town during his 500 mile "Walk of Faith For Our Nation".
Along the way of this 500 mile walk, Pastor Jay is very likely to attract the Christian News and particularly the media. However, everyone who knows Pastor Jay is well aware of the fact that he has never been one to back down from his firm Christian beliefs, values, and principles when it comes to some of the most controversial issues such as abortion, gay marriage, President Obama "bowing" to Islam, and God and Country.
As the Senior Pastor of The Church of the Valley in Strasburg, VA, crowds of Christians are preparing to join Pastor Jay as he comes home, only to pass through and continue his 500 mile "Walk of Faith for Our Nation."
Some of those walking with Pastor Jay will be disabled, elderly, and even blind. But regardless of the challenge, they are willing to support and stand behind Pastor Jay and do whatever it takes. The main goals of the 500 mile walk are to help raise much-needed tax-deductible donations for Christian TV Network WAZT and take the Nation back to God and Country.
Beginning at 9 am on Saturday, August 7th, the plan is to walk from Strasburg, VA, down historic Route 11 to Woodstock, VA. That evening at 6 pm a large Rally Event will be held in the parking lot of Christian TV Network, WAZT, featuring live music, military, and lots of prayer and worship.
WAZT has been the only Christan TV Network in the Shenandoah Valley since 1985. When Pastor Jay learned in 2006 that WAZT was going to be sold to a group who would no longer keep this a Christian Network, Pastor Jay and a small group purchased WAZT to keep Christian TV as an option for families in the Shenandoah Valley.
Who is Pastor Jay? After 46 years of preaching God’s Word every Sunday, many believe that this 65-year-old Pastor Jay is now facing what could arguably be his most difficult assignment yet...which is a grueling 500 mile walk through the Shenandoah Valley. Pastor Jay started this walk on Monday, August 2nd, in Waynesboro, and will be passing through his hometown area Saturday, August 7th.
Pastor Jay believes that, even at age 65, God has provided him with all the strength he could ever need. He is also extremely grateful for his selfless team of volunteers, loving family support, generous donations, lots of appreciated prayers, as well as his unwavering faith in God’s purpose.
