Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 12, 2010

Higgenbotham Auctioneers International announced recently that a regional Texas lender has engaged them to liquidate a portfolio of bank owned assets throughout Texas September 14 through 16, 2010.

The inventory includes a wide variety of real estate, from single family homes, condos and ranches to commercial buildings and waterfront properties. “Unlike many recent lender ordered auctions, this one is truly different. We have new construction, never occupied homes in exclusive gated communities and beachfront townhomes. We also have many commercial properties, including an incredible building that housed the much publicized Unleashed Indoor Dog Park on Interstate 30 in Dallas. All of these properties are high quality and present a strategic opportunity for both consumers and investors,” stated John L. Haney, General Manager of the Florida and Texas based auction company.

“This lender made smarter loans and wiser decisions than most. They didn’t take big risks on undesirable properties, but like any lender in this current market, your going to have some foreclosures,” stated Haney.

The auctions will be held September 14-16 in Galveston, Houston, San Antonio and Dallas. The auction schedule is as follows:

11AM, Tuesday, September 14 – Galveston area properties
(Auction held at 17 Evia Main, Galveston, TX)

6PM, Tuesday, September 14 – Houston area properties
(Auction held at Holiday Inn – Reliant Park/Medical Center, 8111 Kirby Dr., Houston)

6PM, Wednesday, September 15 – San Antonio area properties
(Auction Held at – Holiday Inn Downtown / Market Square, 318 W. Durango, San Antonio, TX)

6PM, Thursday, September 16 – Dallas area properties
(Auction held at – Hyatt Regency North Dallas, 701 E. Campbell Rd. Richardson, TX)

A complete list of properties is available, along with detailed information on each property by contacting the auction company. Properties may be added up to the sale date and the latest details will be available at higgenbotham.com Bids will be accepted live onsite and via the Internet. Bidders are encouraged to come bid at the auction, however online real-time bidding via the Internet is available for those who can’t attend. Internet bidders will need to register in advance of the auction at higgenbotham.com.

So what is the best strategy to buy at the auction? According to Jim Owen, Western US Division Manager for Higgenbotham, “Opportunity will knock, but it won’t beat your door down. Take the initiative and do your research now. Visit the properties during the scheduled previews, consult with your lender and contact Higgenbotham with any questions. We’ve been in the auction business for over 50 years and we’re here to help. Don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll get you answers”.
