Legacy Data Access Announces New Data Center

New Center Will Provide Immediate SAS 70 Type II Compliance

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 18, 2010

Legacy Data Access (LDA), an innovator in data storage and Web-based solutions, announced today it is migrating to a new data center to better serve its clients’ needs. The center sits directly on one of region’s main fiber backbones and is part of an Ethernet ring based on Extreme Networks' 10 gig technology.

Security at the new data center, which uses all green technology, is unrivaled, with 10-foot razor wire fencing, key card entry and multiple security systems that include redundant security camera servers, biometric handprint scanning and expertly-trained security guards. The new center follows the most rigorous control standards available and will provide Legacy’s clients with immediate SAS 70 Type II compliance. Legacy’s data processing services are now SAS 70 Type II certified, covering nine specific areas including network monitoring, customer service, data backup, change management, deployment and physical security. SAS 70 standards indicate that service providers have adequate controls and safeguards when they host or process data for their client base.

Legacy’s clients can also save time and money using the center’s SAS 70 report certification to support their own SAS 70, financial or other audits. SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). SAS 70 is an acronym for “Statement of Auditing Standards.”

"We are pleased to offer our clients this state-of-the-art data center to better serve their legacy data handling needs,” commented Warner Head, Executive Vice President of Legacy Data Access. “Our LegacySuite allows clients to reduce costs and have their data easily available to them for as long as they need it.”
