Village Realty’s sales staff conducted a successful one-day launch at Croatan Woods on the Sound, on July 31st. Village Realty has made a sales commitment to the sellers of the development, the Harvey family, and plans to expand its services to assist other property owners on Roanoke Island.

The one-day event, offering special incentives, began at 8:30 a.m. The weather was ideal and prospective buyers had an opportunity to tour the property, as well as speak to lenders, builders and agents. Of the ten lots currently for sale, three went under contract when the sale started at 10:30 a.m. Numbers were drawn from a basket to determine who would be the first to select a lot. Karen and Richard Wright, of Chesapeake, Va., were the winners, and they chose lot 3. In return for going under contract that day and agreeing to close within 45 days, they received $10,000 off the price of the property.

Busy signing papers side-by-side with her husband, Mrs. Wright flashed a big smile and said: “We are so excited to be the first to go under contract! Really didn’t expect to be the first. And we’re looking forward to begin building our home.”

Another couple went under contract for two lots, and they are planning to start building their primary home this fall. In return they received $20,000 off the purchase of the first lot, and $5,000 off the second lot.
