Clif Bar & Company Re-Energizes E-Commerce Offering With ERP2Web From CDI

The existing e-Commerce solution from Lansa would have led to a prohibitively high cost of migration. ERP2Web’s tight integration with JDE will ensure that the migration will be a quick and painless process. CDI has been a great strategic partner on this project. Their budget and time estimates have been very accurate and they have been excellent project managers. Most importantly, their deep functional knowledge of the JD Edwards suite of products and prompt issue resolution helped make the project a success.”

ERP2Web is a proven and affordable e-Commerce solution. It enables enterprises to provide their customers a secured shopping cart access for real-time order creation in Oracle’s JD Edwards ERP. With ERP2Web, Clif Bar & Company could quickly implement an electronic storefront using CDI’s rapid implementation methodology with no modifications to JDE. ERP2Web powers Clif Bar & Company’s dealer site that allows sports retailers to order directly over the Internet. The site now supports added features that were not possible with Clif Bar & Company’s earlier e-Commerce solution from Lansa due to difficult inter-operability with JDE World.

“These enhancements allow us to roll out this new dealer website to all sales channels.” according to Lynn Blair, Director of Customer Service & Logistics at Clif Bar & Company. “It’s much more powerful in terms of administration, supports much faster order processing and accuracy as well as improved customer service. The customers will be able to access important account information any time, without needing to contact their customer service representative. They will be able to place orders, track orders, get inventory availability, item spec information, review or print open invoices and even pay invoices on line with a credit card using CDI’s SnapPay solution.”

Clif Bar & Company uses e-Catalog in ERP2Web to offer a unique e-Storefront that allows their different customer groups to easily conduct all business transactions over the web. Clif Bar & Company created and customized a master e-Catalog for different type of user profiles to target specific customer segments and thus open up new markets. According to Dave Hartwell, "The new system has given us access to an important new set of customers beyond sports retailers, including large food retailers, managed accounts, independent sales reps, and consumers.
