Imagen Records (http://www.imagenrecords.com) has signed the multi-talented rock group Namesake to its growing indie label family. “I couldn’t be more pleased with getting these guys on our label. They have all of the ingredients needed for a successful rock group; raw talent, a great look and sound, creativity and charisma”, said Bob Winegard, President of Imagen Records.

Based in Charlotte, NC, via Atlanta, GA and Saratoga Springs, NY, NameSake’s name comes from the fact that all the members bear their father’s name. The group was formed four years ago, with the founding members playing together since age 14. The band’s lead vocalist is Will Crafton, with Troy Harmon and Brad Wagner on guitars, and Kevin Nordeste on drums.

Namesake’s music is an exciting blend of rock and pop, producing a driving sound that stays with you long after the music is done. Of their style, Will says, “The heart of our music is loud in-your-face guitar with catchy hooks and pop melodies. We take the edginess of rock n’ roll and add some memorable lyrics with strong melodic vocals.”

Namesake is currently in Orlando, FL working on their new CD with famed record producer James Paul Wisner (Paramore, New Found Glory, Underoath). The Full length CD tentatively named “Save It For Saturday” is set for release some time in the fall of 2010. Front man Will says, “We're having a blast right now. After a lot of hard work, this is a dream come true for us.”
