That's where we come in to deliver a qualified audience. textPlus users are dedicated and active -- and most important, interested in downloading and using the apps promoted by textPlus.

textPlus, the popular mobile app for free, unlimited texting, today debuts its "Chartbuster" program designed to help developers improve their apps' standing and visibility on the Apple iTunes App Store. Ranked among the top 100 apps in the store for over a year, and with over 8 million downloads to date, textPlus leverages its own proven App Store marketing model to help other developers climb the charts and monetize their apps.
Chartbuster draws from the highly active and loyal textPlus user base to attract a qualified audience -- those who will both download the app as well as use it. Initial programs have shown strong results for clients, including textPlus speed-texting game textRace, which reached the top ten free apps, and GameFly GameCenter, which skyrocketed up 40 chart placements. Chartbuster uses a combination of textPlus advertising inventory targeted to drive downloads from engaged users. The program requires a minimum spend of $10,000 and will be offered to the first 50 application developers who sign up to participate.
"To really improve chart position in a lasting way, developers have to do more than just get people to download their app - they need to get people actually using the app as well," said Polly Lieberman, VP of advertising at GOGII, the creator of textPlus. "That's where we come in to deliver a qualified audience. textPlus users are dedicated and active -- and most important, interested in downloading and using the apps promoted by textPlus."
Chartbuster propels apps up the charts - and keeps them there - thanks to highly qualified users who choose to engage on their own rather than be incentivized to download the promoted app. This self-selection approach, which yields a user base far more likely to engage with the app, is ultimately most valuable to the app publisher.
The textPlus app allows users to text to any text-enabled phone in the U.S. and Canada, as well as to text from app to app anywhere in the world, for free. It's the first texting app to allow one-to-one, group and Community texting in a chatroom-like environment using reply-all functionality. 3.3 billion messages have been sent using textPlus since its launch June 2009.
textPlus brings ad-supported real texting and group texting to the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android phones through both its mobile application and permanent short code, 60611. textPlus is carrier and Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) compliant and enables seamless interaction between textPlus application users and their friends using regular text messaging (SMS).
GOGII (go-jee) is a mobile communications technology company and creator of the textPlus app. GOGII is a U.S.-based startup backed by venture capital firms Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Matrix Partners. GOGII was founded in 2007 by the three founders of JAMDAT Mobile, the leading mobile entertainment publisher that was acquired by Electronic Arts in 2006.
