Norfolk, VA (PRWEB) August 22, 2010
Affinity4, one of the nation's leading affinity-based marketers specializing in helping charities, ministries and other nonprofit organizations raise funds, has selected the Our House Families homeless shelter as the beneficiary of its upcoming volunteer project. The company and its employees will be holding a coat drive from August 23rd to September 3. During that period, Affinity4 will be collecting coats, jackets, scarves, gloves and any other weather items to help Virginia's estimated 10,000 homeless people. Our House Families is the only homeless shelter in Chesapeake, Virginia.
In anticipation of a very successful coat and warm weather apparel drive, Affinity4 is already planning a celebration with an Ugly Sweater Party. Guests are being encouraged to scour their closets and those of friends and family members to find the "tackiest, gaudiest and ugliest sweater or jacket" to wear at the party. A panel of judges from Our House Families will decide who has the ugliest sweaters and reward those individuals with gift cards.
