Salem, OR (Vocus) August 23, 2010
Three Holiday Retirement residents recently won one year of free rent through a random drawing during Resident Appreciation Week.
Shirley Leather of Maple Downs in Fayetteville, N.Y., Sara Kacik of Silver Arrow Estates in Broken Arrow, Okla., and Al Counter of Sherbrooke Heights in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada were the winners. Holiday Retirement, the leader in the Independent Retirement Living industry since 1971, conducted the drawing among 29,000 residents last month.
Each resident was notified of their winnings at a special Resident Appreciation Week dinner.
“I cannot believe it,” Leather said as she was greeted by her family with flowers and balloons following the announcement. “I’m going to cry.”
Said Kacik: “This is a dream come true.”
Rent at Holiday Retirement covers all expenses, including a private apartment, three chef-prepared meals served daily, live-in managers, transportation, housekeeping, entertainment, a resident travel program, and more.
