Greenville, SC (PRWEB) August 26, 2010

On Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at 2:30 p.m., BJU Press will host its first CHART online seminar. CHART (Christian Homeschooling Advancement, Resources, and Training) online seminars is a new initiative from BJU Press, intended to provide homeschoolers across the country with homeschool resources and training. The first seminar will be presented by Dr. Bryan Smith, a national speaker on the topic, and will focus on the concept of biblical worldview and its place in Christian education and will offer practical ways to incorporate a biblical worldview into the homeschool curriculum.

For many homeschool parents, teaching necessary academic content while combating a humanistic worldview can be difficult. Between laundry and homework, grocery trips and lesson planning, homeschool parents are faced with unique challenges—and a great opportunity. Building a biblical worldview starts in the home, and what better way to develop this Christian perspective than through trustworthy homeschool curriculum?

In this online seminar, Dr. Bryan Smith will discuss the definition of a Christian worldview and the concepts of creation, fall, and redemption that form its foundation. He will also explain how the dominion mandate God gave to Adam affects our perspective on Christian education. Those who attend will learn how to cultivate a biblical worldview in their children as they homeschool.

“I am so grateful to everyone who has helped put this resource together,” says CHART administrator, Ben Davis. “The response has been overwhelming, and registration is nearly full.”

The CHART online seminar “Cultivating a Biblical Worldview” is scheduled for September 14, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend, and the only software requirement is a web browser and Adobe Flash. Those who are interested may visit http://www.bjupress.com/go/biblical-worldview to sign up for a free login and view information about future seminar topics.

CHART online seminars are hosted by BJU Press. In the early 1970s, two scientists recognized the need for science texts with a biblical worldview and wrote the first textbook of many to be published by BJU Press. BJU Press exists to encourage Christian character in students and to promote academic excellence through the provision of K–12 educational materials and support services. In addition to textbooks and materials, we offer homeschool testing services, distance-learning programs, and other homeschool resources.
