Magna Charger HEMI Supercharger Kit

Ventura, CA (Vocus) August 25, 2010

After nearly three years of development and emissions testing, Magna Charger’s parent company Magnuson Products was granted California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order D-488-16 that makes it legal to install a Magna Charger Supercharger kit on virtually all HEMI-equipped Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles in all 50 states. More specifically E.O. D-488-16 covers ‘08-’10 5.7L & 6.1L Dodge Challengers, ’06-’10 5.7L & 6.1L Dodge Chargers, ’05-’08 5.7L & 6.1L Dodge Magnums, ’05-’10 5.7L & 6.1L Chrysler 300Cs, ’03-’11 Dodge Ram Trucks and ’05-’11 5.7L & 6.1L Jeep Grand Cherokees.

Magna Charger’s President & CEO commented, “The actual HEMI supercharger kit has been engineered, tested and in production for some time, but it has taken us months to refine our software package to meet these stringent LEVII and ULEV emissions standards, while providing the performance increase our customers expect. The hard work has paid off with a clean single modification that increases power and torque at the wheels by as much as 72% at various points through the power curve.”

Though this E.O. covers a wide scope of vehicles, the Magna Charger supercharger kit provides various advantages – Hemi Ram owners will enjoy the increased towing and passing capability, while the Hemi Challenger and Charger guys will appreciate the ability to “throw down” on the new GT 500s and 2010 Camaros. Jeep Cherokee owners no longer have to take a back seat to Porsche Cayenne owners too. Regardless of application, everyone will appreciate the increased power and driveability throughout the power range.

The heart of the Magna Charger supercharger systems are the all-new, four-rotor, high-helix MP1900 and MP 2300 superchargers – the same technology found on the famed ZR1 Corvette and CTS-V Cadillac. They have been proven on the racetrack and in hundreds of thousands of highway miles. These highly efficient superchargers require less engine power to drive, have cooler discharge temperatures for more power, and are much quieter. Additional efficiency is achieved through a unique bypass valve that reduces parasitic drag by taking the supercharger “off-line” during normal driving.

The new Magna Charger HEMI supercharger systems come complete with a patented high-velocity aluminum intake manifold, integral water-to-air intercooler, and all necessary brackets, connectors, hardware and any needed specialized tools. The supercharger has a self-contained lubrication system that is maintenance-free. Calibration is included with a handheld computer programmer that re-programs the factory ECU and stores the original calibration for possible future use. A full instruction manual with color photos makes the step-by-step installation process easy to follow. Hemi superchargers are available in a show-winning Kroma Kote or stealthy black powder coat finish.

All Magna Charger supercharger systems carry a Standard 3-Year Limited warranty on the supercharger system, and Magna Charger also offers an optional 36,000-mile/3 Year Powertrain Warranty.
