Smartphones Technologies Introduces Smart Widgets for Android Devices

Smartphones Technologies, Inc., a leading mobile application publisher, announced the introduction of Smart Widgets for Android devices, debuting custom college clock widgets for 75 leading colleges and universities. Smartphones’ Smart Widget framework allows brand owners to offer custom widgets featuring their logo or brand with dynamic content updates, including news, fan alerts, and custom messages - all dynamically delivered to the customer’s mobile device.

The college clock widgets feature custom versions of the phone’s clock. Instead of using the standard clock that comes in the phone, college sports fans everywhere can purchase a clock widget customized with their college logo and school colors. For example, the "Alabama Crimson Tide Clock Widget" gives Alabama fans a choice of three Crimson Tide clock logos.

The new college clock widgets include a drop down ticker tray showing up to the minute scores while games are in progress. These new Smart Widgets let fans get live college football scores directly on the home screen of their phone without even launching an app.

The college clock widgets give fans a choice of three clock layouts with their school logo: flip clock view, scoreboard view and analog clock, all with their school logos and colors. The customer can choose from these three layouts and can change it at anytime. Like ringtones, wallpapers or themes, this is another way students, fans and alumni can personalize their phone and show their school pride. Each college widgets is officially licensed by the respective university.
