WellEz Announces Integrated File Management (IFM) for Well Lifecycle Reporting

With the release of WellEz Integrated File Management (IFM) on August 11, 2010, WellEz.NET module users now have the ability to upload any file type into WellEz drilling software for online storage and secure distribution. The new software supports PDF, Excel, Word, JPEG, and other common digital file types that can be uploaded and managed in a familiar Windows “tree“ structure. Files can either be accessed on the Web directly by an authorized user or may be scheduled for email distribution in the same way daily drilling activity reports are configured.

“Some of our clients wanted to incorporate more of their well information and support documentation into WellEz.NET, like their drilling programs, logs, surveys, and regulatory documents,” says Charles Jeffery, President at WellEz Information Management. “With this updated software, we’ve made WellEz into a central well data repository easily accessible from any device with a Web browser.”

In addition to managing drilling, completion, work-over, and facilities well data, reports and documents such as log files, casing tallies, and survey plats can now be distributed as easily as a standard WellEz report.

Once files are uploaded to the WellEz system, the files are securely stored within a central database, allowing operators an easy and searchable way to organize and store daily drilling reports and documents associated with a well. So all data is integrated and stored into a single reporting solution, allowing for less time administrating the well and more time in operations.

Clients can simply subscribe to the new service and won’t need to install new hardware or software to get the updated features. Once users log into WellEz.NET, all the upgrades will be instantly available without any disturbances to the system.
