Florida Minister Finishes First 25 States on His 50 State Capital Preaching Tour.

I have thoughtfully and prayerfully dedicated myself to this fifty-state capital preaching tour in order to bring about a new Great Awakening from the spiritually dry condition of America, and to rekindle the spiritual heritage of this great nation.

As Americans celebrate the Restoring Honor spiritual revival with Glenn Beck on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Rev. Charlie Garrett of Sarasota, Florida, ordained minister and accomplished author, is doing his part to promote the next Great Awakening as well. Rev. Garrett has completed the first 25 states in his Capital Adventure - The 50 State Challenge - in which he urges Americans to read their Bibles everyday, pray for spiritual renewal of this country, and reclaim the original intent of our Founding Fathers by calling upon the Lord for His divine hand to be upon this great nation.

From the steps of each state capital building, Rev. Garrett is restoring the nation’s founding heritage through the reading of psalms of praise, presentation of documents written by America’s Founding Fathers pointing to America’s national heritage, prayers for each specific state, and evangelistic messages. Taking direction from the founding fathers themselves and their reliance from the Bible, Rev. Garrett also presents an interesting challenge to all Americans during his travels. Regardless of denomination or faith, Rev. Garrett challenges every American to spend 30 minutes a day reading the Bible.

Rev. Charlie Garrett is an ordained Minister of the Gospel. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Evangelical Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible Studies. Rev. Charlie is the author of the book "The Mark of a Christian" and he publishes a daily Bible devotional which is read by many thousands around the world, on-line and via email. He also teaches in-depth weekly Bible exploration classes and faithfully serves as a mission worker in the downtown Sarasota, Florida area. Prior to God's calling to work in the ministry, Charlie proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 9 years. His overseas assignments included Japan and Malaysia. Part of his time in Malaysia was in a support role for Operation Desert Storm. His true patriotism and in-depth knowledge of American history is indicative of his devotion to our great country. God has gifted Charlie with a compelling, down-to-earth, and approachable style of communicating God's Word. His undeniable love for the Lord Jesus Christ emanates in his spoken and written lessons.
