Our notion is that you don’t have to be a great cook in order to cook great food, rather we focus on basics that can be replicated across a wide array of dishes whilst enriching children and families the joy of healthy cooking.

The Cooking Apprentice spices up historic Brentwood, CA (East Contra Costa) named one of the Best Communities for Young People, with its new upcoming private, hands-on cooking workshops and special events. We are an independently owned and operated Limited Liability Company. The Cooking Apprentice concept is encouraging children, young couples and families alike to participate in hands-on cooking activities privately provided in your home or a commercial kitchen venue.

The Cooking Apprentice markets exclusively children and families whom have a desire to learn how to cook basic dishes without over complicating processes. Our notion is that you don’t have to be a great cook in order to cook great food; rather we focus on basics that can be replicated across a wide array of dishes together with an innovative, interactive and fun experience that teaches important life skills through the art, math and science of cooking.

Owners Xavier Clerc, a former district manager for both small and large scale retailers, by joint effort with his wife Grace Clerc, an owner of a wedding and event planning company, the vision of The Cooking Apprentice where others can experience similar joy, brought forth their entrepreneurial adventure and compassion for food.

We anticipate to begin our hands-on, private cooking workshops in FALL 2010.
