Point Pleasant Beach, NJ (PRWEB) September 1, 2010
Debuting publicly for the second time, Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner will be the only craft beer showcased at the Point Pleasant Beach Festival of the Sea on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 10am to 7pm. Owners of East Coast Beer Co. – parent company of Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner – Brian Ciriaco and John Merklin will be giving away various merchandise to festival-goers, as well as letting them know where they can get a cold one.
“How could we not be a part of Festival of the Sea?” asked John Merklin, co-owner of East Coast Beer Co. “It’s on our street!”
“It’s also a great community event that looks to extend the tourist season, which does a lot of good for the local businesses in the area,” added Brian Ciriaco. “We look forward to meeting beer fans and enthusiasts, as well as generating more interest and buzz about our brew.”
In its 34th year, with more than 60,000 people in attendance, the Festival of the Sea spans the heart of downtown Point Pleasant on Arnold and Bay Avenues. Visitors can sample 25 of the Shore’s best restaurants that will serve their finest dishes, ranging from clam chowder to lobster and steak, while being able to peruse 225 booths featuring various businesses, artists, antiques, crafters, games and more. Adding to the delight of the event, fireworks on Jenkinson’s Beach will finish off the day.
Festival of the Sea is open to the public and features shuttles to ensure that parking is not a problem for all those that want to attend the street fair.
Beach Haus®, the only craft beer at the event, is a Classic American Pilsner, reminiscent of the old German-American style of brewing, which results in a full-flavored craft beer. A pre-prohibition style Pilsner, using all-American ingredients, including Mt. Hood Hops, the beer is brewed to perfection reflecting a unique taste and style of the Jersey Shore.
