Author Rose M. Ruff paints bright smiles on young readers’ faces as she pens a vibrant picture book of love and friendship, Betsy and Friends. This heartwarming tale is a compilation of a young chimpanzee’s grand adventures as she learns new things and gains new friends.
Betsy is a chimpanzee with big brown eyes, long lashes, and brown fur. She is adorable cute and very energetic. She usually spends time in the park on afternoons, playing with her favorite toy—the hoola hoop. One Saturday, she meets Jason the frog and they become friends. On another day, Betsy and Jason meet Tom the dog, Chanci the little fox, and Cindy the cat. All five of them soon become best friends and put up a clubhouse. Readers will witness their exciting adventures as they go swimming, surfing, and more.
Packed with vibrant illustrations and amusing characters, Betsy and Friends sends a message of friendship to all young readers. This book also serves as the perfect bonding material for parents and children during reading time. For more information on this book, log on to Xlibris.com.
About the Author
The youngest of 8 children born to Earl and Barbara Ruff, I grew up in Ogden, Utah, later moving to Denair, California and eventually settling in Yakima, Washington. I started writing at a very young age and it’s been a lifelong dream to be published. I have 3 beautiful children, Barbara, Harry and Brittany Cline. Thanks to Barbara and her husband Brad, I have an adorable new granddaughter … Kaitlynn Marie Kinmark. I love writing poetry and short stories. I enjoy scrapbooking and have published a cookbook for our family reunion.
At the end of my book I have added a short story my sister wrote for me and thought it a nice way to introduce her as an author. I love the style of her writing and look forward to reading more.
