Innovative Analytics & Training LLC (Innovative Analytics), a privately-held company that helps organizations make better decisions by integrating diverse information sources with advanced analytic methods, announced that it has named Judy A. Johnston, Ed. D. to the position of Research Director. In this capacity, Dr. Johnston will have responsibilities for managing research projects for IAT’s government and commercial clients.

Johnston, Ed. D. to the position of Research Director. In this capacity, Dr. Johnston will have responsibilities for managing research projects for IAT’s government and commercial clients.

Dr. Johnston possesses over thirteen years of experience in psychology, education, research methods, and project management, most recently at Booz Allen Hamilton. Her efforts have been focused on innovative and effective methods for learning and analysis, both in computer-mediated environments and in operationalizing cultural intelligence. Until this assignment, her focus has been on using new research methods to understand socio-cultural dynamics and emerging vulnerabilities in decision-making related to DoD information operations. Her work in socio-cultural dynamics focused on the development of research and analytic methods for understanding sub-national leader behavior, group dynamics, and applying social science research methods to multi-disciplinary problems such as regional instability. She has conducted research under the auspices of ONR, DARPA, NSF, and the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Dr. Johnston has a breadth of research program management experience that has been demonstrated in a variety of domains, from computer-based learning environment development to evidence-based analytic methodology development. She holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from St. Xavier College, a Masters in Instructional Technology for the University of Houston – Clear Lake, and an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston.
