Redwood City, CA (PRWEB) September 1, 2010 —
Turn Inc., the industry’s only end-to-end platform for managing data-driven digital advertising, today announced that Scott Howe, an industry veteran and former Vice President of Microsoft Advertising Business, was elected to Turn’s Board of Directors. Howe also served as president of Atlas International and vice president, general manager of Avenue A | Razorfish.
“Scott is widely recognized as an accomplished leader in digital marketing. He has deep experience scaling fast-growing technology companies as well as expertise in online advertising and enterprise software,” said Bill Demas, CEO at Turn, Inc. “His depth of knowledge on both the buy and sell side makes him an invaluable adviser to Turn and an excellent addition to our Board of Directors.”
Scott joined Microsoft through its acquisition of aQuantive Inc. in 2007. During his tenure at aQuantive, the company grew from a pre-IPO startup to a global industry leader with net revenues of nearly $500 million. While leading Microsoft Advertising Business Groups, he managed global revenue and cost responsibility of $2.6 billion annually across all emerging businesses related to online advertising, including search, display, ad networks, in-game, mobile, digital cable and a variety of enterprise software applications.
“I’ve been impressed with Turn’s ability to innovate and develop an enterprise-level media platform product,” said Scott Howe. “I look forward to leveraging my expertise to grow the Turn brand globally and further cement the company’s position as the industry leader in data-driven advertising.”
Prior to aQuantive, Scott spent six years doing strategy consulting at Boston Consulting Group, and two years of investment banking at Kidder, Peabody and Company. He holds an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business and an AB in Economics from Princeton University.
