Jenks, OK (PRWEB) September 24, 2010
Black Forest Décor LLC, a leading mail order catalog and Internet business specializing in decor, lighting and bedding with an emphasis on cabins and lodges, recently announced that every item available on All Tapestry, one of their online stores, is manufactured in the United States. The goal is an inventory of products that meet a high standard of quality and assist the company in its desire to support local industry, save money and provide excellent customer service.
All Tapestry offers a variety of home decor tapestries, such as landscapes, lodge and western and coastal tapestries, as well as tassels and hanging rods. The store carries around 1500 items, each American made at every step of production, from growing and dyeing the cotton to weaving the final products.
According to Black Forest Decor CEO Jason Dupus, among other benefits, doing business domestically means cheaper freight – saving money for both the retailer and their customers – and shorter wait times for shipping and returns. Quality control is another factor.
“One of the biggest challenges we face with foreign manufacturers is product quality,” he said. “We’ve run into too many situations in which we received items that weren’t exactly what we ordered. Perhaps it was a communication issue, but most likely those companies took shortcuts and used poorer quality materials than expected. Returning items to companies abroad is time-consuming and taxing, and we end up losing money.”
Additionally, the company enjoys supporting local jobs, and communication is easier with stateside vendors, which leads to more accountability in the supply chain speedier, better customer service.
Rufus Honeycutt, sales manager for All Tapestry’s primary manufacturer, said, “We have had the opportunity to go overseas with our production on many occasions. We feel that there is no talent in the world as good as the people that we employ, which assures our quality of product to be second to none, with most timely delivery. We take great pride in the fact that we employee 75 Americans producing products of the highest quality in the world.”
The store was launched in March of 2009.
