Upcoming concert at Triple Door September 16th features affordable $25 tickets as well as special $50 “Tailwind” seats to help Bike Works mission of building sustainable communities by educating youth and promoting bicycling.

The Canadian urban roots artists Po' Girl will combine their talents with JT Nero on Thursday, September 16th at the Triple Door in Seattle to help raise money for one of the area's most popular nonprofit organizations, Bike Works. As is the case with all Gigs4Good concerts, tickets are affordably priced and proceeds from this concert will be used to fund one Earn-a-Bike course, where 12 youth will spend eight weeks learning the basics of bike repair and use their time to restore bicycles. Each youth who completes the program gets a bike of their own and the ones they refurbished are donated to local charitable organizations.

“Bike Works is the ideal partner for our next concert because their programs for youth and adults, community partnerships at home and abroad, and full-service repair shop promote bicycling as a clean and healthy transportation alternative,” said Ryan Hodgson, Gigs4Good founder. “These are values that have special place in Seattlites' hearts so it's no surprise the non-profit organization is one of the most popular in the area.”

Tickets for the concert are $25 in advance and include a special “Tailwind” option. Just as a tailwind provides extra help to a rider, purchasers of pre-sale Tailwind Tickets, through their greater contribution, will be providing extra assistance to Bike Works. Aside from this additional support, purchasers will receive priority seating ensuring they have the best possible experience at this Gigs4Good event. This is an opportunity for Bike works supporters with the interest and capacity to contribute more to do just that.

Po’ Girl is urban roots music from Canada with a world music sensibility, compassionate spirit, and joyous sound. Allison Russell, Awna Teixeira, Benny Sidelinger, and Mikey "Lightning" August each contribute a distinct voice and multiple instruments to their poetic tunes and harmonies. The band recently toured the U.S., Canada and Europe to help raise awareness of domestic violence. Po' Girl will be joined by the talented JT Nero, lead of the Chicago-based band JT and the Clouds and collaborator on Po' Girl's most recent album, Follow Your Bliss.
