(Vocus/PRWEB) September 02, 2010

Gloucester, MA (Vocus) September 2, 2010 -- NeedyMeds is pleased to announce the addition of Camps and Scholarships databases to its website. Currently, 233 camp and 101 scholarship programs are listed.

The camps listed are for children and adults with specific diseases or conditions, as well as broader chronic diseases. These are not necessarily free camps, or camps for financially needy children and families. However, some may offer financial aid. Some programs enroll campers living anywhere in the U.S., while others are limited to people in specific states. The camp database is searchable by disease, camp location, camp name or camp sponsor.

The scholarships listed are offered for students with specific or whole types of diseases, chronic illness or medical conditions. Additional scholarships are offered for students living with a parent or family member with the disease/condition. Most have some type of eligibility requirements, usually financial criteria. Many of the scholarships can be used at any school. The scholarship database may be searched by disease, residency of applicant or scholarship name.

If you have information about a camp or scholarship program geared towards those living with a disease or condition, please contact Robin at robin(at)needymeds(dot)org.
