More than 500 C-level executives, VPs of IT, Directors and IT Asset Managers from Fortune 1,000 companies to well-known mid-sized organizations will attend the 8th Annual IAITAM 2010 Annual Conference & Exhibition held at the Nashville Renaissance and Convention Center from October 20-22, 2010. This event is targeted to IT asset managers, their executive management and those interested in discussing, learning and sharing the latest ITAM industry trends and best practices.
“This year promises to surpass the previous year in attendees by 25% with an expected 500 executives including CIOs, CFOs, COOs, CTOs and VPs of IT asset management,” said Barbara Rembiesa, President of IAITAM. “Organizations worldwide see the value of ITAM, but we’re only beginning to scratch the surface in terms of savings, efficiencies and business advantages that IT asset management can provide to the enterprise. As the industry’s largest gathering and longest running event, we proudly offer a central location to showcase best practices, providing five knowledge tracks and educational events while creating an unparalleled opportunity to network with peers and vendors.”
For this year’s event, the International Association of IT Asset Managers, Inc. (IAITAM) has lined-up world famous celebrity keynote speakers including:
- Former CNN headline news anchor, Bob Losure will host the conference and deliver a keynote speech on Thursday, Oct. 21. Having traveled the world as a newscaster, Mr. Losure’s unique blend of news reporting and emcee experience will provide an entertaining and informative presence at this year’s conference.
- Internationally acclaimed speaker and bestselling New York Times author of The Noticer and The Traveler’s Gift: Seven Decisions that Determine Personal Success, Andy Andrews will deliver a keynote speech on Wednesday, Oct. 20. His talk, “Moving Mountains,” will be derived from the award-winning Traveler’s Gift.
- Michael Jones, partner at The Ruby Group, will speak on gaining executive buy-in as well as strategies and tips in selling the ITAM Program to executives on Oct. 22.
In addition, the educational sessions will incorporate case studies and best practices topics from organizations across a variety of industries and roles such as CA Technologies, Chevron, Providence Health & Services, Harris County Hospital District, John Hopkins University, Microsoft Corporation, Sacred Heart University and Toyota.
“It is our pleasure to welcome Bob, Andy and Mike as keynote speakers and our attendees have already expressed their enthusiasm for hearing these prominent individuals speak, along with our own industry leaders,” continued Rembiesa. “And, as busy as our attendees’ careers are, I am thrilled to announce that we have increased the number of enterprise case studies by 20% this year with each speaker willing to share their ITAM experiences – the good, bad and the ugly.”
In an effort to continue its green initiative, IAITAM encourages all conference attendees to select its “Go Green” option, which allows attendees to “opt out” of receiving paper-based products.
