Butterfly Social Events is an upmarket new London social club established to provide its members with an interesting range of high quality social and cultural activities in and around London. The club’s range of events includes dinners, drinks evenings, guided walks, afternoon teas, parties, theatre evenings and gallery visits. Butterfly Social Events helps its members to liven up their social diaries and meet new friends with shared interests.
Founder of Butterfly Social Events, Paula Fagan, decided to set up the club when she identified a need for a new social club offering members of all ages a wide range of well organised, stylish and enjoyable social events where they could meet a friendly bunch of like-minded people. Although many of its members are single, Butterfly Social Events is not a singles club, but it offers a stress-free alternative to the singles scene. Members are welcome to attend events with a partner, on their own, or with a friend or two. All events are hosted with an emphasis on a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Paula Fagan has more than 20 years of experience in running upmarket events in the corporate sector and has already planned an interesting programme of events for the club including a private Guided Walk for Chocolate Lovers, a Jewellery Making Workshop, a Thames Beachcombing Walk, Theatre Trips, a Private Gourmet Walking Tour and dinners at a variety of London restaurants. The club’s programme of events will commence in mid-September.
Butterfly Social Events is pleased to announce that it is a Corporate Member of Butterfly Conservation*, the UK based charity taking action to reverse declines in our butterfly and moth populations and create a healthier environment for us to live in. As a registered charity, Butterfly Conservation relies on support from other organisations to be able to continue to support the survival of butterflies, moths and their habitats. Butterflies and moths are a crucial part of our heritage and provide valuable indicators to the health of the environment. Butterfly Social Events is very pleased to support the conservation of butterflies and moths through its membership of Butterfly Conservation and recognises its role in helping to conserve our environment.

The Value of Social Clubs such as Butterfly Social Events:
London is such a busy place that it is easy to feel isolated at times. In fact, just over half of singles flag loneliness as the biggest stress factor in their lives. According to FDS International forecasts, there will be an increase in single person households from the already significant 30% of households of today, to 34% in 2019. This will mean an additional 1.8 million single person households. These figures suggest that feelings of isolation in London are likely to increase. It is especially lonely for singles after a relationship ends, or after a bereavement.
It is often quite a challenge for newcomers to meet people in London. Even locals can find it difficult when their friends move out of London, or start a family, as their regular social crowd can simply evaporate. Busy professionals, who are either in a relationship, or single, can also feel that it’s all work and no play, as they simply don’t have the time to arrange social activities. This is where social clubs like Butterfly Social Events can help. The club provides access to an instant social circle, with a wide range of events to select from, so that its members can keep their social diaries as busy as they want them be and maximise their leisure time.
