Celebrated artists bring their shared cultural heritage to a broader community

Internationally acclaimed sculptor and artist, Michael Aram, will be in Chicago for a private reception at Tabula Tua on October 21, 2010. Joining him will be Carrie Nahabedian of NAHA restaurant to benefit Save the ArQ, a non-profit organization created to encourage the revitalization of the Armenian Quarter in Jerusalem.

Michael and Carrie bring together their shared rich history and vibrant culture to lead the charge of a cause that is so personal to them. So often the artistic voice can have more impact than traditional forms of activism. Both Michael’s and Carrie’s work have been heavily influenced by their Armenian roots, including the preparations and traditions involving food and family.

Mary Hoogasian, Carrie Nahabedian and Grace Tsao-Wu invite you to an evening with Michael Aram at Tabula Tua. Guests will enjoy Mediterranean inspired food and cocktails from Carrie, a James Beard award winner, and her cousin Michael Nahabedian. Michael Aram will sign pieces purchased that evening.
