Retail Service Partners announced today they had completed the implementation of their new mobile software solution, based on the Canvas platform, to their team of mobile merchandisers.    

By mobilizing their workers, RSP provides their clients with real-time reports on which products are in distribution, how their products are being merchandised on store shelves as well as submit paperless orders for their clients products. Clients of RSP now have extended information on how their competition is pricing their products and how those products are presented in merchandised locations.

Equipped with ruggedized hand held devices manufactured by Motorola and their own mobile solution build quickly and easily on the Canvas platform, RSP was able to do away with their paper audits with a solution that can scan product on shelves, pull up detailed product information, take photos of store shelves and capture how products are presented at various store locations. Changes to the application can be made real time, and by RSP. The data is then made available to RSP’s partners through a number of methods which can be customized based on their partner’s needs.

Implementing their own mobile solution on Canvas was a part of Retail Service Partners strategic plans to provide a flexible, real time data collection system that allowed for timely changes in the fast paced and ever-changing environment that is today’s retail marketplace. Unlike other solutions that were available in the market, Canvas provides Retail Service Partners with the unique capability to build and modify their own mobile applications and do so without the need of a software developer.    Once built, the application automatically supports a wide variety of devices including the Windows Mobile devices RSP deployed.
