“As a major brand in the fashion industry it’s important that we support a wide variety of causes,” says Brian Woolf, President of Lane Bryant.

Fashion and celebrity go hand-in-hand and that relationship is never more valuable than when it supports a worthy cause. This September 10th, Lane Bryant, the nation’s leading women’s specialty full-figured apparel retailer, and some fantastic celebrity friends are supporting two causes on two coasts. In Los Angeles, eight sexy full-figured celebs will wear the latest Lane Bryant collections including DKNY Jeans when strutting down the runway at Celebrity Catwalk - a charity fashion show that raises funds and awareness for National Animal Rescue. The second event is Fashion’s Night Out, a global event designed to support the fashion industry. Lane Bryant’s flagship store in Manhattan will feature contests, DKNY Jeans gift with purchase, and two of the brand’s hottest fashion models.
“As a major brand in the fashion industry it’s important that we support a wide variety of causes. Our customers are strong, vibrant women who are making a difference in the world and we want to earn their business by being a brand they can respect,” says Brian Woolf, President of Lane Bryant.
Between 6-8 million dogs and cats enter shelters each year. All proceeds from the Celebrity Catwalk event go directly to non-profit organizations that work tirelessly to put a dent in those staggering statistics. This is the third year Lane Bryant is supporting the Celebrity Catwalk fashion show by outfitting celebrities like Kim Coles and reality TV star Ruby Gettinger. And for the first time, the brand is hosting a posh swag suite before the event featuring DKNY Jeans and the new Passport Collection by Lane Bryant.
The Fashion’s Night Out event at Lane Bryant’s 34th St. store will be ultra-glam. Models Ashley Graham from the Cacique red bra ad and Lizzie Miller who famously showed off her curves in Glamour magazine will both be there to shop with customers and sip on Lane Bryant’s signature cocktail, the Lanetini. Since the night is all about shopping, Lane Bryant has a very special gift with purchase. For this event only, Lane Bryant is including a free DNKY Jeans t-shirt with any DKNY Jeans purchase. And customers will want to stay at Lane Bryant until closing time because one lucky person will win a $250 Lane Bryant gift card. This is the second year Lane Bryant is showing support for the global event. Lane Bryant’s Fulton St. and 125th St. stores will also be open extended hours to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out.
“By the time our latest collection hits the showroom floor, many people in the fashion industry have worked hard to make the collection possible. This event celebrates their efforts and we’re honored to support Fashion’s Night Out,” says Woolf.
Lane Bryant will be reporting live from both events via the company’s Twitter and Facebook pages. Don’t miss a minute of the action.
