SAFARI Montage Joins IMS Global Learning Consortium to Provide Leadership in Interoperability for Digital Media in Schools

The leading provider of digital media solutions for U.S. schools joins IMS to apply and adapt the next generation of learning technology standards for the benefit of numerous school districts

The IMS Global Learning Consortium (IMS GLC) and SAFARI Montage today announced that SAFARI Montage has joined IMS GLC as a Contributing Member. SAFARI Montage will be providing leadership in IMS GLC with respect to the rapid convergence of digital media and a wide variety of learning technology platforms, such as course management systems, portals, and classroom technology. As the leading provider of digital media management solutions in the U.S., SAFARI Montage provides insight into school district requirements for a wide variety of digital media. Leading school districts and educational institutions around the world will look to SAFARI Montage and IMS GLS to provide a seamless classroom experience with digital media integration for teachers, students and parents.

IMS GLC members include the leading educational technology and publisher organizations across K-20. IMS has already introduced the suite of IMS Digital Learning Services interoperability standards consisting of Common Cartridge, Learning Tools Interoperability, and Learning Information Services. These standards are immediately applicable for enabling seamless interoperability of digital media with learning management and portal platforms.
