Indiana based Singer-Songwriter Andrew Rosborough has released the new Patriotic Anthem “Bleed” (Red, White, & Blue), which is dedicated to Specialist Joel Hunt, an Iraqi War Veteran and Para-Olympic Snow Skier. Proceeds from the song will be donated to the Challenged Athletes Foundations & Operation Rebound, both of which offer sports rehabilitative services for injured war veterans.

"Bleed" (Red, White, and Blue) is certainly a Patriotic Anthem for a new generation... and all those who have been affected by the continuing United States Military engagements and the tragedy of 9/11.

Award Winning Songwriter Andrew Rosborough and writing partner Douglas Charles Showalter have crafted the newest Patriotic Anthem in honor of Army Specialist Joel Hunt, and all those who have been injured or fallen while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, with proceeds from the song going to the Non-For-Profit Organizations the Challenged Athletes Foundation (http://www.challengedathletes.org) and Operation Rebound (http://www.operationrebound.org).

Specialist Joel Hunt, based out of Fort Carson (Colorado), served 3 tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom where he suffered Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Paralysis on the lower half of his leg as the result of a road side bomb, commonly known as an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). No longer able to serve as an active member of the military, Specialist Hunt returned to Fort Carson and began his involvement with the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Operation Rebound, both of which gave him the resources to begin a rehabilitation process through sports. Joel is now an Paralympic contender for the United States Paralympic Ski Team, and an avid contributor to the furthering of both the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Operation Rebound, which is how Andrew Rosborough became reconnected with Specialist Hunt, a former high school classmate, whom he had not seen in 10 years.

Via Facebook, Specialist Hunt contacted Rosborough asking him to perform at a benefit concert for Operation Rebound in Denver, CO, and asked if he would be able to write a song for the soldiers who would be attending the event. Without hesitation Andrew agreed. However, the task proved to be more difficult than anticipated. “I had a difficult time in finding an authentic view point for the song”, said Rosborough. “Having never been in the armed forces, and only drawing references from movies and TV, I felt like I would be a fraud to perpetrate the idea that I had any understanding of what these men and women go through in combat. But upon seeing Joel [Specialist Hunt] for the first time in 10 years, the inspiration struck me”. "Joel still had the huge personality that I remembered from years ago, but I was completely unaware of the physical challenges he now faced due to his injuries, and my inquisitive nature prompted me to navigate the situation with a series of questions about his condition that Joel [Specialist Hunt] answered without reserve", said Rosborough. "At that point I headed straight to the hotel where in a matter of 25 minutes myself and Douglas Charles Showalter crafted "Bleed" (Red, White and Blue).

"Bleed" (Red, White, and Blue) is certainly a Patriotic Anthem for a new generation that has been resonating and tugging at the hearts of both Service Men and Women and civilians alike. It is more than just a tribute, its a social narrative that strikes close to home to all those who have been affected by the continuing United States Military engagements and the tragedy of 9/11.

You can purchase a copy of "Bleed" (Red, White, and Blue) exclusively at http://www.andrewrosborough.com as either a download for $1.25 or a Limited Edition Physical copy with numbered artwork for $10.00. Proceeds from the sales with go to the Challenged Athletes Foundation and Operation Rebound.
