the doctors of the future will recommend food as medicine.
Ontario, ON (Vocus) September 9, 2010
Growing up in a large family (eleven children in all) in rural Ontario, outside of the city of Windsor, author Lorena Lefor/Golke’s family relied heavily on home grown vegetables and meat and used natural remedies to stay healthy. Now she shares her journey into natural healing as she reveals Age old Secrets of Natural Healing in Modern Practice.
A long-standing advocate of natural health, Golke’s awareness began at home in her very own kitchen. Armed with good home training, she continued the legacy her mother had left by only preparing food which she deemed healthy and sought out natural remedies. Like the pioneers of medicine, she believes that “the doctors of the future will recommend food as medicine.”
As time passed, she expanded her interests and became a student of some of the present day pioneers of the natural healing such as Eunice Ingram and Dr John Christopher, to name a few. She studied and used various self-help techniques that benefitted her and her family. As she gained confidence, she began to use them in clinical practice. Through the years that she learned and practiced these techniques, she discovered how truly beneficial natural healing can be through her own personal experience.
Age old Secrets of Natural Healing in Modern Practice is not to be considered a complete abridgment of the healing arts that survived the test of time. It merely chronicles the journey the author embarked upon in her own quest for health through natural means. As she shares her experiences, she hopes readers will become aware and embark on their own journey to natural healing.
Age old Secrets of Natural Healing in Modern Practice will be featured at this year’s Frankfurt International Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany on October 6 to 10, 2010. For more information, log on to Xlibris.com.
