Whidbey Island, WA (Vocus) September 9, 2010
In anticipation of the prestigious Frankfurt International Book Fair, leading self-publisher Xlibris announced today the availability of QUICKSAND, an engaging book authored by Marilyn Randall.
QUICKSAND is a powerful love story told in first person that knows no bounds. Readers are introduced to Natalie, an artist and author who lost her husband to cancer. Even though the loss and suffering took it’s toll on her she goes forward to rebuild her life and eventually meets Randy whom she falls deeply in love with. Natalie is white and several years his senior. Randy is black – the two believe they are meant for each other and begin the journey of discovery about their love affair and about the prejudices they experience from friends and family members for their being together. Eventually his dark and abusive side appears and Natalie is torn about what to do. The author inserts powerful poetry throughout the book as a way of showing the reader the deep emotion of each event. The outcome of this relationship awaits the readers’ discovery.
QUICKSAND will be featured at the Frankfurt International Book Fair from October 6 to 10, 2010, 2010 in Frankfurt Germany. It is available for $19.99 in paperback format, $29.99 in hardback format, and $9.99 in electronic book format. Readers who wish to order a copy of this book are encouraged to visit Xlibris.com, call toll free (888)795-4274 or send an email to orders(at)Xlibris(dot)com today.
