London, UK (PRWEB) September 9, 2010
The new department based in London, is the central hub for Winkworth's UK and international clients wishing to purchase or sell their home in the country. Clients selling through the Country House department will benefit from the recognition of a market leading estate agency brand and access to an extensive database of buyers registered across the Winkworth network in London, UK and overseas. The local Winkworth estate agent offices will work closely with the Country House team in London to develop a bespoke marketing campaign for the property.
Dominic Agace, CEO of M Winkworth Plc, says:
"We have been keen to establish a Country House Department for a number of years, however, we recognised that in order to operate a successful Country House Department, we needed a stronger countryside presence. Over the last five years Winkworth has established that presence with the addition of a number of offices in key parts across the south of England, including Bath, Winchester and Exeter, and it is in these areas the new department will predominantly operate. Eventually we anticipate being able to work right across the country, where we may not necessarily have a local presence.
Typically the Country House Department will concentrate on properties in excess of £750,000 with a rural or village setting, although individual homes of distinction may also be considered".
Although the property market is expecting a slower end to the year, the Country House market is set to perform above trend, not only because of the desirability of the houses, but the fact that there are not hundreds and thousands of them in existence.
David King MRICS, who heads up the new Country House department, adds:
"We have noticed at first hand that the upper end of the property market has been very busy lately, with international money flowing into the UK, thanks to the attractive currency prices, and as a result into the property market. This has in turn led to the recovery being led by the prime markets; in Central London and also in the Country House market. If you add the fact that the unique, historical or attractive properties are relatively few and far between, along with the fact that there are not swathes of million pound plus properties being built across England in idyllic settings, then it is evident these markets will always lead the way in premiums and recovery".
The Country House department is located at 5-17 Hammersmith Grove, London W6 0LG. Telephone number 020 7871 0589
